My second song. Even more bizarre than the first, if that's possible. I'm personally surprised that I was sober while recording both of them.

I'm especially proud of the strange drum track on this one which took several hours just to program. The 7-beat time signature kept me on my toes while laying down the guitar. And it's all guitar, every sound except for a 5-second synth pan flute in the middle of the song. So other than that, if it sounds like keyboards, it still ain't. Here's the MP3 for your listening... pleasure? I call this one:

Groove: As Seen from Space - 7/2/01

April 11, 2001

I've just started recording my own music. Just for fun, as music has been a hobby of mine for many years now, and I recently bought some recording equipment for my house.

So as songs are recorded, I will be adding them here. They will be in MP3 format.

Here's my first song. I've done some recording with friends before on 4-track tape recorders, but this is my first attempt at digital recording, and also my first attempt at doing the entire song by myself. This particular piece uses a drum machine, but everything else is either a bass guitar, or a standard six-string guitar. With lots of effects thrown on. Heh.

It's called SkEye. There's a reason, but I'm not going to tell you what it is. Just click on the song title below to play it. It's a 2MB file, so dialup connections may take a few mins to download.
